Concern over the death of 180 persons in Kano



Kano state citizens are concerned over the death of 180 people in the state at the course of four days.


A health worker who spoke off record to thecable news agency has said the state has recorded 180 deaths in the last four days.

This development came when the state is battling with increase of covid-19 cases which has mounted to 59 with 23 new cases recorded on Tuesday, the 21st of April.

This deaths are not related to covid-19, according to a source in Murtala Muhammed specialist hospital, kano, said the deaths are as a result of hypertension, anaemia, diabetes, malaria and typhoid.

Another source also attributed some theof  deaths to Ulcers" as a result of hunger and poverty which requires urgent attention from the government and other wealthy individuals."

Areas where this deaths have been recorded include :
Zage, Kano municipal, Tarauni, Gwale, Kurna, Kofar, Zango, Fagge, Dala, Chiromawa, Kumbotso and many other places.

The Kano government says it has activated community informants structure of the World Health Organisation (WHO) to report deaths and cause of deaths and has also deployed officers in all cemeteries to count bodies brought in for burial every day
